me: i am a reasonable adult and a literature enthusiast. i can totally read a classic book even if it hasn’t got any female characters in it. i will appreciate it for what it is and understand its historical and cultural context. i will keep in mind that women need not always be at the center of every story.

and, there’s just no going back! Like, books that I read and tolerated, or was pretty well-entertained by, way back when - when I now try to read them, even if it’s been ages and I forgot a lot of what happened, I get so bored, it’s suddenly SUCH a CHORE, why is there NOBODY EVEN A LITTLE LIKE MEEE, why are there no women, only functions and images, WHYYYYYY etc..
