Alligators can sense when water is going to freeze so they’ll stick their noses up above the waterline and just freeze like that, going into a state similar to hibernation. Then the water thaws and they go about their business with no apparent injury. The same group of gators have made the news for doing this for the second year in a row. Gators are just like that.
I know most people are cowards don’t like the idea of giant carnivores that are close to human lives, but this is so cute.

You’re right. I made it up, photoshopped the pictures, and planted fake news stories going back years. This is part of a larger conspiracy to convince people that there are other places in the world than just Florida. And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for y’all.
